Test Case Versioning & Management

Overview:

Test Case Versioning & Management involves systematically handling test cases to ensure they remain organized, up-to-date, and traceable throughout the software development lifecycle.

Test Case Versioning means maintaining different versions of test cases as the software evolves. This helps keep track of changes, understand the history of modifications, and ensure consistency across different releases.

Test case management organizes, tracks, and maintains test cases to ensure they are comprehensive, current, and aligned with the project’s requirements.

 

Step 1: Log in to the TestGrid portal with valid credentials.

 

 

Step 2: Create the New Project:

• When you click on the codeless, you will see the Test Explorer page, where you can click on Create a New Project.
• Enter the appropriate information in that field, choose the platform, and click on the next button.

 

• After clicking on the next button, you will see the test case detail page, where you can enter the appropriate information.
• Enter the website URL, upload the APK or IPA file per your version, and click on the next button.

 

Step 3: Click the Test Codeless:

• Click on Codeless, then open it once you have created the application.
• Select your application from the list. and click codeless.

 

 

Step 4: Create the version.

• Click on Add Version.
• Below, a pop-up box will appear on the screen.
• Add a version name and a version description.
• Platform: Select the platform from the drop-down menu.
• Platforms are Android, iOS, and Web.
• Click on the Save button.

 

Step 5: Add the Test Suite.

• Click on Add Test Suite.
• Below, a pop-up box will appear on the screen.
• Enter the Test Suite name.
• Add all the values, and then click Save. You can see your module added in the left panel.
  

 

Step 6: Module Components.

• Click on your module (i.e. Web) from the left panel.
• It will show you the above screen containing the below module components:
• Resources
• Test Functions 
• Test Cases
• Network Assert
• Custom Scripts
