Audio Output Streaming with TestGrid
Overview
This feature significantly enhances the user’s interaction with Android devices connected through the Testgrid Device Cloud by providing real-time audio output streaming. Previously, users could only view the visual display of the remote device. Now, with the Android Audio Output Streaming feature, users can simultaneously hear the audio being played on the cloud device directly through their local audio output devices (e.g., speakers, headphones). Audio Output Streaming provides a more complete and immersive experience when testing applications or content that relies on audio feedback, such as multimedia apps, games, and communication tools.
Step 1: Log in with your credentials and navigate to the device cloud module.
- Locate the desired Android device within the list of available devices. Then, click the “Connect” button to initiate the connection process.
- Upon tapping the “Connect” button, the screen of that specific device will become visible.
Step 2: Once a connection with the Android device is established, users gain the ability to navigate and interact with any application or content that produces audio output. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Media Streaming: Platforms like YouTube and various music applications.
- Application Testing: Verifying media playback functionalities within the user’s own developed applications.
- Testing media playback functionalities within the user’s own application.
Step 3: As the application or content on the remote Android device plays audio, the users will now be able to hear the corresponding sound output directly through the audio output devices connected to the user’s computer or the user’s device, which is used to access the Testgrid Device Cloud.
- The audio streaming occurs in real-time, synchronized with the visual output on the device’s screen.
