Remote Lite URL provides streamlined device access from anywhere. It allows team members to easily access and interact with remote device UIs through a browser, enabling seamless collaboration and testing.

The Remote Lite feature is a lightweight and efficient solution for remotely accessing and managing devices. It offers capabilities similar to HeadSpin’s mini remote. Key functionalities include:

1. Direct Device Control via Endpoint:
   • Interact effortlessly with devices through a simplified Remote Lite endpoint.
   • Designed for easy integration and embedding in iframes for cross-platform accessibility.
2. Device Cloud Integration:
   • The Remote Lite endpoint is accessible from the Device Info popup in the Device Cloud, making it easy to locate and use.
3. Enhanced API Support:
   • The endpoint is included in the get-user-devices and get-devices-info API responses, facilitating streamlined automation and workflow integration.
4. Access Without Platform Login:
   • Operate devices and browsers directly through the Remote Lite endpoint without logging in to the TestGrid platform, ensuring a frictionless experience.

How to Use Remote Lite URL

Access via Remote Control in TestGrid Device Cloud:

1. Log in to the TestGrid portal.
2. Navigate to the “Real Device Cloud” tab and open it.
3. Click the “i” button in the device info popup. Locate the “Remote Lite URL” button in the popup’s left-side corner.
4. A new browser page will open, displaying the device UI. Use this URL to view and interact with the UI.

Access via QR Code:

1. In the device info popup, click the “i” button to find the Remote Lite URL.
2. Copy this URL and:
   • Use it with any iframe for embedded access.
   • Paste it directly into a browser for immediate access.
   • The device UI will open on your handheld device for easy interaction.

Important Notes

• Visiting the Remote Lite URL locks the device to your user account.
• Ensure the device is either unlocked or locked by your account to use Remote Lite.
• If another user has locked the device, you will not be able to access it.
• When accessing a Remote Lite endpoint in a browser, the session automatically uses your user account to log in.
